What This Service Includes
Spray painting uses high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) spray equipment to atomise paint into a fine mist that settles onto surfaces in perfectly even, thin layers. The result is a finish with zero brush marks, zero roller stipple, and a smoothness that looks and feels like factory-applied coating. It is the preferred method for kitchen cabinets, built-in wardrobes, radiators, staircases and any surface where a flawless finish is the priority.
This service suits homeowners who want a showroom-quality result that hand painting cannot quite achieve. While our hand-painted kitchen service delivers excellent results, spray painting offers a higher level of surface perfection — particularly suited to modern, handleless kitchen designs and contemporary interiors where smooth, clean lines are essential.
Spray painting also excels on complex shapes. Radiators with multiple fins, spindle staircases, louvre doors, and ornate furniture are all significantly faster and smoother to spray than to brush. The time saving translates directly into cost savings for you.
We use professional HVLP turbine spray systems with adjustable needle sets that allow us to fine-tune spray patterns for different surfaces, paints and finishes. All spraying is carried out in controlled environments with full masking and extraction, ensuring zero overspray reaches surrounding surfaces.
Examples of Our Work

What Happens When You Wait Too Long
Spray painting done incorrectly results in worse outcomes than brush painting. The difference between professional and amateur spraying is stark and immediately visible.
Orange Peel Texture
Incorrect pressure settings, wrong tip size, or spraying too close creates an 'orange peel' texture that looks bumpy under light. This is the most common flaw in amateur spray work and requires full sanding and respraying to correct.
Runs and Sags
Applying too much paint in a single pass causes runs and sags — visible drips that harden into the surface. Professional sprayers maintain consistent speed, distance and overlap patterns to prevent this entirely.
Overspray Damage
Without proper masking and extraction, atomised paint particles settle on every surrounding surface — floors, worktops, appliances, walls. Professional containment and masking prevents this completely.
Adhesion Failure
Spraying over inadequately prepared surfaces leads to the entire paint film peeling away in sheets. The preparation stage is even more critical with spray painting because the finish highlights every imperfection in the substrate.
Our Proven Process
Assessment and Quotation
We inspect the items to be sprayed, assess material type and condition, discuss colour and finish preferences, and provide a detailed fixed-price quotation.
Preparation and Masking
Surfaces are cleaned, degreased, sanded and primed. Surrounding areas are fully masked with plastic sheeting and tape. For kitchen spraying, all appliances, worktops and non-painted surfaces are completely protected.
Primer Application
Specialist spray primer is applied in thin, even coats. The primer system is selected to match the substrate — adhesion primer for laminate, high-build primer for timber with grain, and etch primer for previously coated surfaces.
Colour Coat Application
Two to three coats of colour are applied using our HVLP system. Each coat is allowed to flash off before the next is applied. Spray distance, speed and pattern are calibrated for each surface to achieve perfect coverage and flow.
Curing and Reassembly
Sprayed items are allowed to cure fully before handling. Kitchen doors are refitted, furniture is reassembled, and a final quality check ensures every surface meets our standard.
The Results You Can Expect
Factory-Smooth Finish
HVLP spraying creates a finish indistinguishable from factory-applied coating. Zero brush marks, zero stipple — just a perfectly even, smooth surface.
Faster Completion
Spraying covers surfaces significantly faster than brush application, reducing project duration and labour costs for large areas and multiple items.
Complex Shapes Made Easy
Radiators, spindle staircases, louvre doors and ornate mouldings are sprayed in a fraction of the time required for hand painting, with a more consistent finish.
Durable, Hard-Wearing
Spray-applied paint cures to a harder, more uniform film than brush-applied paint. The consistent thickness means better protection and longer service life.
Any Colour, Any Finish
Matt, satin, semi-gloss or high-gloss. Any colour from any manufacturer. We calibrate our equipment to deliver the exact finish you specify.
Guaranteed Results
Every spray project is covered by our 5-year workmanship guarantee. If the finish fails due to our application, we return and rectify at no cost.
Kitchen Cabinet Spray Painting
Kitchen spraying is our most popular spray service. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are removed, labelled, prepared and sprayed in controlled conditions before being refitted. The result is a kitchen that looks as though it has been replaced — at 70% less cost. We spray solid timber, MDF, vinyl-wrapped, thermofoil and melamine cabinets using appropriate primer systems for each substrate. Modern handleless kitchens particularly benefit from spraying, as the seamless finish enhances their clean, contemporary aesthetic.
Furniture and Built-In Spraying
Built-in wardrobes, bookcases, alcove units, radiator covers and freestanding furniture all benefit from spray painting. We can transform dark, dated furniture into light, modern pieces or match existing items to a new room scheme. Spray painting is also ideal for upcycling quality vintage furniture — the smooth, even finish elevates the piece while preserving its original form.
Radiator Spraying
Radiators with multiple fins and convector grilles are notoriously difficult to paint by brush. Drips collect in panel gaps, brush marks are visible across flat faces, and the result is rarely satisfactory. HVLP spraying reaches every surface evenly, producing a clean, uniform finish that enhances rather than detracts from the room. We use heat-resistant paints rated to withstand radiator operating temperatures without yellowing or softening.
Interior Door and Trim Spraying
Internal doors, architraves and skirting boards can all be sprayed for a consistent, uniform finish throughout a property. This is particularly effective in new-build properties or after renovation work where all woodwork needs finishing simultaneously. Spray-applied satinwood and eggshell on doors and trim gives a professional, even appearance that hand painting struggles to match on flat, featureless surfaces where every imperfection shows.
